BISQUERTT
Viña Bisquertt is a family winery founded more than forty years ago by Osvaldo Bisquertt and his wife Soledad Urrutia, under the philosophy of producing wines with expression of terroir.
The Bisquertt family were pioneers in the Colchagua Valley, planting their first vineyards in the Rinconada de Perrillo Estate in the mid-1960s and acquiring their first winery in Lihueimo ten years later.
In the 1980s, Bisquertt began to export its wines to the world, with a great expansion in the US market. At the same time, it develops its emblematic brand La Joya, as a symbol of innovation, authenticity and elegance, which is recognised by several distinctions in Chile and abroad.
Bisquertt makes its first plantations in its El Chequén estate, in the Marchihue Valley, which is part of the great Colchagua Valley. With leadership and vision, Bisquertt made a great contribution to the creation at that time of the new Marchihue Denomination of Origin, which is now well known.
At the beginning of this century, the second generation of the family under the leadership of Sebastián Bisquertt joined Osvaldo’s efforts to establish Bisquertt as a reference in Chile for quality wines. At this time, a strong expansion of exports began, reaching more than 30 countries.
Tralca
Tralca is a tribute to the dedication and unequalled family legacy. It is a blend of red grapes that come from the highest quality areas of our El Chequén vineyard.
With low yields, hand-selected grapes, and aged for 24 months in first use French oak barrels, Tralca is the best expression of elegance and distinction of Bisquertt wines.
It is an ideal accompaniment to red meats with a light lean touch, cooked in the oven or slow roasted, and pairs harmoniously with mature cheeses and vegetable stews.
