VIÑA PELVIN

We are a modern ‘Oenological Project’ that dynamically includes the necessary resources for the production of quality wines, focused on the search for high quality pure productions available in the national market and thus, making new unique blends to produce great Garage style wines, small artisan productions with a unique personal touch and high quality.

Our wines are developed and labelled under the brand criteria (Balance, Philanthropic, Garage, 100% Pure Strain) developed throughout our history of more than 15 years as a winemaking project. Proud representatives of the best fruit provided in Chile, working side by side with the finest team of expert and professionals.

The Pelvin winery was founded at the end of the 18th century and was one of the first wineries founded in Chile in the Central Valley. It closed its doors during the last century. It was reborn again in 1995 with the acquisition of the brand and establishing itself once again in one of the old barracks in the heart of what used to be this winery.

Viña Pelvin Filantropo Blend - Blue Label

Filántropo Blend - Blue Label

The Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot grapes originate from Puente Alto, Maipo, in central Chile. This terroir has the ideal conditions to produce one of the best Cabernet Sauvignon in Chile.

This Blend is a blend of vineyards from the Puente Alto and Peumo sectors: 61% Carménère, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot, 6% Merlot.

This wine was aged in French oak barrels for 14 months, only 11.700 hand numbered bottles were bottled.

The Carménère grape is from the Cachapoal Valley (Sixth Region), its origin is Peumo, the appellation that gives life to the great Carménère of Chile. The vineyard is located on terraced hills of the Coastal Range. The vines are pre-phylloxera cuttings and are trained on vertical trellises. The soils are deep and clayey, which helps to retain humidity, this allows the vines to be active until the end of May, when the Carménère is harvested, as well as controlling its vigour and growth. Peumo is located at 190 metres above sea level and extends along the Cachapoal River, which contributes to the decrease in temperature at night, helping to improve the thermal amplitude and therefore the concentration of the fruit and a slower ripening process.
